Aside from super svelte figures, Kim Chiu‘s and Maja Salvador‘s characters in Ina Kapatid Anak have another striking similarity – their hairstyle. The big, bouncy curls matched with light and natural-looking makeup definitely add personality to the girls’ colegiala roles. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Celine (Kim Chiu) and Margaux (Maja Salvador) become campus trendsetters soon.
If you want to grab their lovely hairstyle, check out our quick do-it-yourself tutorial on how to recreate the look.
Kim and Maja are seen donning the big curls even in other showbiz engagements like ASAP Singapore 2012.

RANDOM TUTORIAL:
Warning: Subjecting your hair to heat on a regular basis may result in damage. Regular use of hair conditioner and heat protectant spray (when necessary) is advised.
1. Divide your hair into 2 sections vertically.
2. Using a hairclamp, divide your hair again into 2 horizontal sections (upper and lower parts) this time.
3. Begin working on the lower section by dividing the hair again into 2-3 parts (2-3 inches wide) on each side, depending on your hair’s thickness. Try your best to divide the hair into large sections to achieve the loose curls we’re aiming for. Working on small hair sections will result in smaller and tighter curls. Whether you’re using a large curling iron or a straightening one, a single technique is used: twirling your hair halfway from the roots to the direction moving away from your face. This will give volume to the curls. If you’re using a straightening iron, flatten the first half of the hair starting from the roots before twirling.

4. Repeat the technique until all parts in the lower section of your hair have been curled.
5. Do the same for the top section.
6. Use your fingers to gently comb through and manually twist and fix your curls for a more polished look. Be careful not to straighten the curls while combing with your fingers.

Optional: For a more long-lasting effect, lightly spritz on a setting spray. You may skip this one if you want a more natural finish.
