In 2017, a Thai film titled “Bad Genius” surprised audiences across Asia. Its story, centered on a brilliant student’s elaborate cheating operation, surpassed previous box office records, marking it as a significant international success. The narrative’s appeal continued, leading to a 2020 series adaptation, which earned recognition for its quality storytelling and screenwriting. Further adaptations followed, with India releasing “Farrey” in 2023, and an American version hitting theaters last year. Now, in 2025, the Philippines presents its own take on this popular story.
