Where it all began

Angeles’ passion for skincare began years ago, as she reminisced, “Way back, gumagawa na ako ng sabon. May iba po kaming ginawang company kaso something went wrong. Then, 2016, na-build po ‘yung SCD.”

Developed over two years, Angeles herself is a testament to its efficacy. “Pinag-aralan po namin siya ng almost two years na. Siya po ang ginagamit ko now. The brand’s resilience during the pandemic is also noteworthy. “Lumakas. Noong pandemic, doon po talaga nag-boom si SCD kasi lahat ng tao nasa bahay, gusto magpaganda. Instead na mag-anxiety sila, why not magpaganda? Pero ako po ang pinakamaitim noon, grabe, karga ko ang mga karton, nasa labasan lang ng LBC [shipping office],” Angeles shared when asked how the business went during the COVID-19 pandemic. She joked about being the one whose skin suffered while making others beautiful with her products. This was due to too much sun exposure to meet the rise in purchase orders.
