‘Darna: The TV Series’ cast revealed; actress behind ‘Valentina’ role still unnamed
The looong wait is finally over. After a series of postponements and changes in the lead role assignment, DARNA: The TV Series is finally happening. At 3PM today, members of the cast of the much-awaited series have finally been revealed via ABS-CBN Entertainment’s Facebook page and Youtube channel. A story conference was held after the grand reveal hosted by ABS-CBN advertising and promotions executive Eric John Salut.
Portraying the classic superheroine is Jane De Leon and she is joined by a pool of talented Kapamilya artists in the cast. Award-winning actress Iza Calzado and TV and movie heartthrob Joshua Garcia have been confirmed with major roles. Iza is set to play the role of First Darna / Leonor Custodio while Joshua will give life to Brian Samonte Robles. Zaijian Jaranilla bagged the popular Darna character Ding.
The actress behind the iconic villain Valentina has yet to be named.

The series is set to be directed by Avel Sunpongco and Chito Roño under JRB Creative Production. Cameras are set to roll this coming November.
