Music runs in the blood! New-York-based musician Eric Celerio will release an album called “Celerio By Celerio” as a tribute to his father, Levi Celerio the National Artist for Music.

The album that will be released is under a distributorship deal with Universal Records that will be out on October 7, 2022 in all the different digital platforms.

This album is made up of 13 tracks that has strong jazz, Latin, Neoclassical, smooth pop and jazz flavors juxtaposed with his father, LevI Celerio’s timeless Tagalog classics that was being exhibited with a modern touch such as “Think Kahit Konting Pagtingin”, “Saan Ka Man Naroroon”, and “Gaano Ko Ikaw Kamahal”.

According to Eric, one of his major influences why he pursued his singing career is because of his father.

“Yeah, definitely. He set me a high standard. Kung siguro ang nanay at tatay ko, mediocre, maybe I would feel good already kahit di magaling pero it’s hard to fool them because they are listening. High standard, my parents.”

He also stated that one of the reasons for promoting Celerio by Celerio is to give tribute to his father and for him to be known for future collaborations.

“That’s one (reason) and second, para yung industry makilala rin ako for future collaboration yung mga broadway, yung mga ganun. Para hindi ako yung parang inosenteng tao pag nakita ako, I want them to recognized me so now I’m paying my dues. It’s not so hard, the performance part, I got down. Pero yung legwork, networking kay Edmin Domingo yung department yan.”

Eric looks up to Art Tatum, Victor Borge, Bobby Enriquez, and Chopin as his influences in playing the piano and he was influenced by Frank Gambale, Ywie Maimsteen, and Al Dimeola in playing his guitar.

Eric has built his own personal style marked by larger-than-life showmanship and humor that could be rowdy and recklessly irreverent. He has three credits from his previous albums that captured a very unique gift of music that he celebrated with enthusiasm in every performance.
