After weathering a challenging legal battle last year to fight for her rights as a woman, life seems to be falling back into place for Rita Daniela. The singer-actress has since found renewed happiness in her personal life, embracing a fresh chapter filled with healing and new beginnings. Now, another milestone unfolds in her career as she officially finds a new home with Viva.

Rita Daniela is ready to take her talents to even greater heights as she signs a management contract with the Viva Artists Agency (VAA).
The multi-talented performer first captured national attention as a young contestant on QTV’s reality singing competition Pop Star Kids, where she emerged as the grand champion. Following her victory, she appeared in various GMA variety programs before being launched as a member of Sugarpop, a five-member group composed of the show’s Top 5 finalists.

In 2007, Rita began expanding her career into acting, making her debut in a supporting role in the action-drama series Asian Treasures alongside Robin Padilla and Angel Locsin. Over the years, she took on numerous supporting roles before gaining recognition as a compelling “kontrabida” beginning in 2013 through standout performances in Mundo Mo’y Akin, Villa Quintana, and Impostora.

She returned to her musical roots in 2015 with the release of her self-titled album, while continuing to balance acting and singing. A major breakthrough came in 2018 when she portrayed Aubrey in the drama series My Special Tatay, earning multiple nominations and awards from respected award-giving bodies such as the Gawad Tanglaw Awards and the PMPC Star Awards for Television. That same year, she made her theater debut in Eto Na! Musikal nAPO!, a jukebox musical featuring the songs of the Apo Hiking Society.
Rita continued her rise to leading lady status with projects like the romantic-comedy series One of the Baes and the film Huling Ulan sa Tag-Araw. She also performed the film’s theme song, “Umulan Man o Umaraw,” which won Best Original Song at the 2021 Metro Manila Film Festival.

In 2020, she added television hosting to her growing résumé, becoming one of the hosts of The Clash and All-Out Sundays. Her momentum continued with leading roles in series such as Ang Dalawang Ikaw and Widows’ War, further cementing her reputation as one of television’s most versatile stars.
Now part of Viva Artists Agency, Rita looks forward to exploring even wider creative opportunities across music, acting, and hosting. She begins this new chapter with an upcoming project for Viva Movie Box, the company’s microdrama platform.
