‘McLisse’ McCoy DeLeon and Elisse Joson ask ‘Big Brother’ to be their baby girl’s ninong
In tonight’s episode of Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10, former PBB housemates and reel-to-real lovers McCoy De Leon and Elisse Joson surprised everyone when they revealed that they already have a child. Without spilling all the details yet, McLisse, as the two are fondly called, gave “Kuya” or Big Brother a life update that they already have a daughter and asked him to be the baby girl’s Ninong or godparent.
Pinoy Big Brother is instrumental in McLisse’s love story as McCoy and Elisse were together as official housemates during the 2016 Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7. They eventually became a couple and had numerous projects together as a loveteam. In early 2019, the two admitted their split and hints of getting back together came out just last year during the lockdown.
As guests earlier on PBB, the two paid Kuya a visit and had the chance to talk to him inside the confession room. As a standard practice, McCoy and Elisse were blindfolded before Kuya greeted them. The invisible Big Brother asked the two how they are and they responded with wide smiles. “Okay naman, Kuya, masaya,” McCoy said coyly with his usual grin.
“Heto po. Kasi nga po, bilang pandemic, iba-ibang ways po na puwedeng mag-earn. Pumapasok po kami ngayon sa panibagong business,” Elisse shared. The couple revealed they are into selling jewelry these days. McCoy added, “Kuya, gusto namin magkaroon ng investment na someday makakatulong sa amin at sa mga pamilya namin in the future.” At this moment, the couple began to giggle that led Kuya to probe.
“McCoy, parang kinakabahan ka ata. Mainit ba diyan sa confession room ko?” Kuya joked. He then asked the two about the purpose of their visit.
“Actually, Kuya, may gusto kaming itanong sa inyo,” Elisse said, sounding unsure of how to go about what she wanted to say. McCoy quickly added, “Kuya, puwede po ba namin kayong gawing ninong sa anak namin?”
Elisse went on to reveal, “Kuya, kami po ni McCoy, meron po kaming napakaganda at napakabait na baby girl.”
“Alam namin na imposible naming makita ka pero gusto naming tingalain ka niya bilang isang ninong, isang godparent, na punung-puno ng wisdom. kaya naisipan po namin na lumapit po sa inyo. Sabi niyo nga po, nakatakda kami dito,” McCoy explained why he and Elisse wanted to get Kuya as their baby’s godparent.
In his usual fatherly tone, Kuya said yes to the proposal and said, “Una sa lahat ay nais kong magpasalamat sa inyong alok sa akin. Nais kong malaman niyo na lubos kong tinatanggap ito. Isang malaking karangalan ang maging ninong sa anak ninyo. Pero higit sa lahat, congratulations, McCoy at Elisse!”
“Thank you po, Kuya! Nagpapasalamat po kami na makabalik po ulit dito at ishare po sa inyo ang magandang balita po namin,” Elisse said. “Naisip po namin na dito po kami nagsimula sa bahay po ninyo and malaki po ang utang na loob po namin.”
“Habang buhay po namin dadalhin po ‘yun. Ang ano lang, ang alam namin na hindi expected pero itong programang ito ang nagtadhana sa amin patungo dito, may family na kami! Salamat po, salamat,” McCoy added.
Kuya expressed his joy over the fact that Pinoy Big Brother played a major role in the couple’s life and love story. “Labis akong natutuwa na naging bahagi ang bahay ko sa inyong tadhana,” he said.
Elisse then showed a photo of their baby girl named Felize McKenzie, a combination of the couple’s names. While holding the framed photo, she turned serious and continued, “Siya po ang lucky charm po namin. She is our greatest blessing po talaga.” McCoy turned things light again by joking, “Dapat McLisse eh!”
Kuya ended the segment with his usual words of wisdom, “Ako ay nagpapasalamat sa inyong tiwala para sabihin ang napakagandang balita tungkol kay Felize. Ang pagiging magulang ay isa sa pinakamahalagang responsibilidad. Ito ay magiging panghabambuhay ninyo nang obligasyon. Hindi ito magiging madali pero ang kapalit nito ay mga aral at karanasan na magtuturo sa inyo kung ano ang ibig sabihin ng pagmamahal na walang kapalit – unconditional love.”
The show’s icon expressed confidence in McLisse as parents. He added, “At sa pagkakakilala ko sa inyong dalawa, alam kong magiging mabuti kayong magulang.” Kuya gave McLisse special gifts — shirts with the tags Pinoy Big Father, Pinoy Big Mother, and Pinoy Big Daughter. ♥
