Moving from cable to mainstream television did wonders for Michael Templo’s career. His move from the ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) to TV5 News and Current Affairs gave him a wider audience. Now more visible in shows like Sapul sa Singko, the 35-year old US immigration lawyer made it to number one of’s list of Top 10 Cutest TV Newsmen. We first saw his hosting stint in 2009 via ANC’s weekly program Crossing Borders which tackled visa and immigration issues of Filipinos abroad.

Mike first got public attention in 2006 when he returned to the country after getting his Juris Doctor degree from Touro Law School in New York. This son of  Retired General Mitch Templo and former actress and Kapwa Ko Mahal Ko host Mildred Ortega-Templo obtained his undergraduate BA Philosophy degree from the University of the Philippines Diliman. Upon his return, Mike partnered with his US-based cousin Atty. Ching Templo-Capule and put up their law firm Templo & Templo Immigration Consultants. They hold offices in Manila and New York.
