The cast and creative team behind the Filipino independent film I’m Perfect have arrived in Italy to represent the Philippines at the 27th Lucania Film Festival, where the award-winning feature will screen as part of the festival’s official international program. They are led by actress-producer Sylvia Sanchez-Atayde.
Held annually in the Basilicata region of southern Italy, the Lucania Film Festival has become a respected international gathering for independent cinema, bringing together filmmakers, producers, artists, and industry professionals from around the world to celebrate original storytelling and emerging creative voices.
The invitation marks another milestone for I’m Perfect, which continues to build momentum following its successful festival run in Manila in December 2025. Its inclusion in the prestigious international lineup signals the film’s growing recognition beyond Philippine shores.
According to its producers, I’m Perfect is the first Filipino feature film to receive an official invitation to the Lucania Film Festival, reflecting the increasing visibility of Philippine independent cinema on the global stage.
Throughout the festival, members of the Philippine delegation will participate in screenings, discussions, and networking activities alongside filmmakers and industry professionals from Europe, Asia, and other parts of the world, creating opportunities for cultural exchange and future collaborations.
