The first episode of “CIA with BA” in 2025 opened with a sense of renewed hope and purpose. Senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano, along with Boy Abunda, addressed their viewers with heartfelt messages, setting the tone for a year of healing, growth, and love.

Kuya Alan: Embracing New Seasons and Seeking Forgiveness

Senator Alan Peter Cayetano acknowledged the pain and hardship many faced in the previous year, encouraging everyone to embrace the fresh start that a new year brings. He urged viewers to let go of the past and look forward to brighter times ahead.

“Sa lahat sa inyo na naging mahirap, masakit, masaklap ang mga pangyayari noong 2024, it’s a new season. Say, ‘Goodbye!’” Kuya Alan said. “Lahat din sa inyo na naging maganda ang 2024, [it’s] time to look forward to even better times.”

He also emphasized the importance of taking responsibility for one’s actions, asking for forgiveness, and striving for improvement.

“Kung ano mang mali, from the bottom of our hearts, just apologize, say, ‘Sorry.’ Kung ano mang tama, [let’s] do better, do our best,” he added.

Ate Pia: Finding Gratitude in the Midst of Pain

Senator Pia Cayetano, known affectionately as Ate Pia, reflected on the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity. She reminded viewers that even in the most difficult times, there are always reasons to be thankful.

“We’ve been through so many trials in life. Some years…masasabing itong taon na ‘to napakahirap, or last year [mas] mahirap. [But] even during those hardest times, there are always things to be grateful for,” she said.

“That’s what I’d like to share with everyone — na pigain niyo, hanapin niyo what you can be grateful about. ‘Yung kakayahan natin na makahanap ng joy even in the midst of pain,” Pia added.

Tito Boy: The Triumph of Love

Boy Abunda, fondly called Tito Boy, shared a powerful message about the enduring strength of love. He believes that love can conquer all – negativity, criticism, and falsehood.

“Ang natutunan ko at patuloy na natututunan ko ay nothing can survive love—no bashing, no negativity, walang pangungutya, walang kasinungalingan ang pwedeng mabuhay amidst love,” he shared.

His message was simple and profound: love is the answer.

“Kahit ano pa ang mangyari sa atin, just love,” he concluded.
