Talent may run in the blood, but building a career still takes courage, discipline, and the determination to step out of a famous shadow. For some artists, the real challenge is not inheriting the gift, but proving their voice can stand on its own. For David Ezra, the journey has always been about carving his own identity and now, he takes a major step forward as he makes his mark in the industry.

Singer-actor David Ezra is ready to blaze a brighter trail in showbiz as he signs a management contract with Viva Artists Agency (VAA).

The son of veteran singer Dulce, widely known as Asia’s Timeless Diva, David began his musical journey during his college years as a band member at the University of Santo Tomas. A few years later, he started performing professionally, landing singing engagements both locally and internationally while steadily building his name in the industry.

One of his earliest major breaks came in 2019 when he was chosen to perform “Kung Kaya Lang,” the main theme of the drama film Man & Wife, starring Gabby Concepcion and Jodi Sta. Maria. However, 2024 marked a defining year in his career.

Midyear, David was among the Filipino performers featured in Do You Hear The People Sing? at the Newport Performing Arts Theater. The special concert celebrated the works of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, bringing together international theater artists and Filipino talents for iconic selections from Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, and other beloved musicals.

In December, he stepped into the role of Orly in the musical film Isang Himala, an official entry to the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival. The project is based on the Filipino classic Himala, originally headlined by the late National Artist and Superstar Nora Aunor.

David continued expanding his stage credentials in 2025 as part of the lead cast of Jeproks: The Musical, a production featuring the music of Mike Hanopol and celebrating the vibrant “Jeeprock” culture of the 1970s.

Now under Viva Artists Agency, David Ezra is set to further establish himself in the industry. He aims to showcase his vocal strength and acting range, and also his versatility as a true all-around performer determined to make a name of his own.
