Oriental Mindoro rises above health crisis with the launch of travel app and website
Oriental Mindoro is a tropical paradise in the South with unspoiled natural beauty. The province takes pride in its white sand beaches, clear blue waters, coral reefs in varied colors, cool rushing rivers, hidden waterfalls, lush green forests covering majestic mountains and an island destination worth discovering, exploring, and experiencing.
In its effort to rejuvenate and breathe new life into the severely affected tourism industry of the province, the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOM) has teamed up with the Department of Tourism (DOT) Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) for the launching of Travel Oriental Mindoro Mobile Application and Website.
Powered by ITDC Systems Development Services, this digital innovation serves as an easy-to-use platform that will allow users to find up-to-date information on their favorite tourist attractions in the province. It will be the tourists’ official travel companion in Oriental Mindoro as it will also provide access to verified information and the latest travel advisories.
The app is a one-stop solution for travel needs where all the things you need to know about the province to make your next trip more convenient and memorable is just a click away. Travel Oriental Mindoro will help one to know more about the history of the towns, discover captivating destinations, find interesting shops, explore world-class dive spots, experience local food, and scout for accommodations.
Users can personalize their experience and submit comments and reviews after signing up on the app or website through Google or Facebook accounts.
The mobile app and website will be launched to the public on Thursday, July 8, at the Provincial Capitol with local tourism stakeholders and travel trade sector present.
