Leadership’s Vision and Commitment

Sergio Ortiz Luis, Jr., Honorary Chair, Treasurer, and Senior Adviser of PCCI-CSR, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “For our 7th year doing this annual fun run, I am proud to be part of this exciting yet humbling activity. This annual fun run of PCCI is another way of expressing our gratitude to our members and partners in a relaxed setting.”

He further extended an invitation to the public, saying, “We gather together in this event wearing our comfy running shoes and singlets, bringing our family, friends, colleagues to the racetrack, and enjoying the fun run that goes with the RUN. On April 6th, we are inviting you to be part of this fun run, festive fundraising event for the benefit of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce CSR relief and rehabilitation program.”
Ortiz Luis, Jr. assured participants of the event’s value, stating, “We assure you that your participation in this good cause will be worth it. Thank you very much and good afternoon to everyone.”
Bryan L. Ang, Vice President for Trade Facilitation and Director for the CSR Committee, highlighted the evolution of the event, stating, “In the last two years, we always held what was a pet-themed fun run. This year, we are changing to a color-themed fun run. Also, with the help of the Army, we have a new venue and I hope this will be the start of a long relationship with the Army.”

He also gave praise to his team, “I would like to commend our PCCI CSR team, specifically Ms. Nora Lacuna and our co-chair Delia Jimenez who work so hard.

Every year, we make so much money and we beat our record. Last year, we had 1,200 attendees and we raised over P500,000.”

With high expectations, Ang stated, “I’m sure this year, we will beat that again. So my gratitude to all the hard work. So see you on April 6. Please join us in this fantastic color fun race.”

Col. Marces Gayat expressed the Philippine Army’s commitment to the partnership, stating, “We are very happy to be the partner of PCCI and to be hosting this Color Fun Run 2025. We are very much supporting the advocacies of PCCI in helping the victims of disaster-stricken [cities]. We would like to enjoin everybody, all runners and non-runners to join us and participate in this very important and noble event. Let us run together for unity and let us have fun. See you on April 6.”
Safety and Security Measures

Ensuring the safety of all participants is a top priority for the PCCI Fun Run 2025. Douglas Castor, Assistant Race Director, runner, and marathoner, addressed the safety measures, stating, “The venue partner will be supported by the armed forces, plus the additional directional signage and race road marshals will be provided for the additional safety. Since it’s inside, it’s not a problem in terms of traffic and security.”

Gia Veloso of the PCCI-CSR Committee added, “There are also going to be ambulances and medic personnel that will be deployed during the event. Also, inside the camp, there’s a hospital. And Col. Gayat was very clear on the safety and security and the administration of first aid at the event. So, we’re prepared for that. We just had a meeting with them. Also, we’re deploying about 100-plus personnel, uniformed personnel, to marshal and assist in the running of the facilitation of the race itself.”
Col. Gayat further assured, “And we also deploy ambulances prepared for this event and alerted our PGH or our regional hospitals, just in case, for any unforeseen incidents or accidents.”

The PCCI Fun Run 2025 promises to be a powerful demonstration of unity and compassion, with every step taken contributing to a brighter future for disaster-stricken Filipinos.
