After capturing hearts in the Wattpad series adaptation of Seducing Drake Palma, and making waves with their big-screen movie A Werewolf Boy earlier this year, Viva’s fast-rising love team Rabin Angeles and Angela Muji—known together as RabGel—are the latest artists to headline their anthology in Viva One Originals: RabGel. The first episode premieres on May 15.
Giving the pair an opportunity to showcase their range across different genres, the four standalone episodes will highlight both their pairing and individual strengths. Two episodes feature Rabin and Angela together, capturing their strong chemistry as a duo, while the other two place them in separate stories, allowing each to take on new dynamics and roles beyond their pairing.
Directed by some of today’s notable filmmakers, Rabin and Angela’s anthology delivers fresh storytelling, standout casting, and plenty of fun and exciting moments.
The episode ‘Ang Rider Kong Hoodlum’ puts Rabin and Angela in an explosive action-romance. Angela plays Celine, a frequent passenger who always relies on Marco (Rabin), a motorcycle taxi rider known for being reliable and on time. One day, Celine witnesses a crime and turns to Marco for help to escape. As hitmen close in, the two are forced into hidingwhile slowly getting to know each other. But as they fight to stay alive, questions begin to surface about Marco’s past, especially as hints of dark secrets threaten to catch up with them. Philip King (Elevator, Tenement) directs this action-packed episode, putting RabGel’s versatility to the test in a high-stakes, edge-of-your-seat chase. Catch ’Ang Rider Kong Hoodlum’ this May 15.
Have a good laugh with the funny episode ‘Same Day Error’from director Rayn Brizuela, where Rabin joins actor-comedian Jerald Napoles for a chaotic day in the life of a struggling wedding videography team. Rabin plays Marlon, a young videographer eager to prove himself in the industry, alongside his older and accident-prone partner Onyok (Jerald). As they take on a wedding packed with unruly guests, faulty equipment, a demanding groom, and a jittery bride, every job challenge escalates into chaos. But amid the madness, they must find a way to pull through, rediscovering not just their passion for the craft but the strength of their friendship as well. ‘Same Day Error’ will stream this May 22.
In ‘My CEO Thinks I’m a Robot,’ Angela is paired with acclaimed actor Carlo Aquino under the direction of Gino Santos for a quirky romance-comedy. Angela is Aiko, a brilliant and hardworking AI developer at Labyu Tech who agrees to pretend as a robot for a hefty sum—especially when she’s assigned to serve Ernest (Carlo), her long-time crush and the company’s guarded CEO who is still haunted by a personal tragedy. Believing Aiko to be nothing more than a machine, Ernest slowly finds comfort in her presence, until complicated feelings begin to surface. As Aiko struggles between the role she’s playing and what she truly feels, alongside Ernest’s growing attachment, the story asks: can love take root in something built on deception? And what happens when the truth finally comes to light? Find the answer in ‘My CEO Thinks I’m a Robot’ this May 29.
And to complete the stories, RabGel reunites with their Seducing Drake Palma director Crisanto B. Aquino in ‘Us, Maybe.’ The romantic episode follows Tala (Angela), a high-profile influencer who suddenly gets “cancelled” after edited screenshots and clips surface. During a fan meet gone wrong, she is rescued by Michael (Rabin), a newly hired videographer who may come off as rough around the edges but is deeply caring toward the people he loves. As the backlash intensifies, Tala seeks refuge in Michael’s home in the province, where she begins to rediscover herself while growing closer to him. As their feelings bloom amid the chaos, the question remains whether their fragile new connection can survive everything threatening to pull them apart. Patrick Reyes also joins the episode as Jace, a figure from Tala’s past who unexpectedly resurfaces. ‘Us, Maybe’ streams this June 5.
With every episode venturing into new emotional territory, Rabin and Angela are ready to prove that their chemistry is just as powerful as their versatility.
