Random Take on “What Happened When One Woman Had Her Picture Photoshopped In 25 Different Countries”
Journalist Esther Honig‘s Photoshop project to see the emergence of different cultural values and standards of beauty from different countries has gone viral. Based on the article published on Huffington Post, Honig asked 40 editors to “make her beautiful.”

Friends and I have so much to comment on the standards of Filipina beauty that seem to have been reflected by the photo representing the Philippines. In my opinion, the look for our country presented in the compilation is far from what is usually perceived as beautiful in our country – based on print and TV communication messages.
After a quick discussion with a few friends, I decided to execute my take on the photo retouching. Disclaimer though, I’m a Photoshop newbie and just speaking for my own standards of physical beauty.
