Released: ‘Discovery Philippines’ Singing Contest’s official list of finalists
The list is out! The team behind Discovery Philippines Singing Contest officially announced this year’s finalists. The 14 aspiring singers set to battle it out for the grand prize are Kevin Hermogenes, Leeana Kelly, Marvin Morales, Czarina Umali, Imogen Atangan, Jinky Sowell, Claire Geonzon, Justin Amigo, Caren Mempin, Dada Lampitoc, Jane Chang, Kenneth Laurente, Marielle Constantino, and Haydee Gallardo.
Discovery Philippines is organized by The Voice USA alumna and top prize winner at Discovery, Angel Bonilla, in partnership with multi-awarded singer and CEO of Starlink Promotions, Garth Garcia.
“We are looking for a total package and someone who can represent the Philippines really well,” said Garcia.
The grand winner will take home an all-expense trip to compete in Europe as the Philippine representative and a prize package totaling to $10,000 (ten thousand dollars).
Garcia added, “We will also include the winner to shows and concerts here aside from earning the right to represent the Philippines in the international competition.”
Also produced by Jane Entrepreneur and philantropist Geoffrey Jimenez, the competition is happening on May 27, 2022 at Envision Center, Van Nuys, California.
Donita Rose and Jules Graeser will be hosting the event while singer Jake Zyrus will have a special number.
