Rising Sparkle artists Liana, Crystal, and Kim launch new singles
GMA Playlist is home to a constellation of talented artists, many of whom are eagerly awaiting their moment in the spotlight. Among these rising stars are Crystal Paras, Liana Castillo, and Kim de Leon, who recently released their latest singles. Each track offers a unique glimpse into the artists’ musical journeys, showcasing their vocal abilities and personalities.
Crystal: “You, Me, and Us”
Crystal Paras, a Sparkle artist, delivered an unforgettable performance of her latest single, “You, Me, and Us,” at a recent media conference. The song, released last month by GMA Music, showcases Crystal’s powerful vocals and heartfelt lyrics.
“When people hear the song, I just wanted them to feel like, especially for those who can’t articulate how they feel, they would know that I will not give up just because we’re going through a rough patch and I hope this song, I hope you feel the same way when you listen to this song,” Crystal explained.
Hailing from a family of performers, Crystal has been singing since childhood. Before entering show business, she honed her skills as an acoustic singer, performing at various bars and restaurants in Quezon City.
Reflecting on her journey as an artist, Crystal acknowledged the challenges she has faced. However, she expressed gratitude for the opportunities GMA has provided her, including performing on the variety show “All-Out Sundays.” Crystal’s dedication and passion for music shine through in her latest single, “You, Me, and Us.”
Liana: “Umaambisyon”
Liana Castillo, another Sparkle artist, is back with new music. Her latest single, “Umaambisyon,” is a continuation of her debut single, “Bebegurl,” also released under GMA Music. The song explores the theme of a young woman prioritizing her career and studies over romantic pursuits.
“Ang ‘Umaambisyon’ po, kumbaga ang meaning po nitong song na ‘to, parang ‘yung guy, he’s making advances [on] me, pero focus po ako sa career ko po and studies,” Liana shared.
At 18 years old, Liana is balancing her studies with her burgeoning career. She expressed gratitude for her teachers and classmates, who have been supportive throughout her journey. “Umaambisyon” is set to be released on streaming platforms on October 4.
Kim: “Window”
Sparkle artist Kim de Leon has also unveiled his latest single, “Window,” under GMA Playlist. The upbeat track features catchy melodies and relatable lyrics that tell the story of a man instantly captivated by a woman and longing for her attention.
“The story of ‘Window’ is about a guy who falls in love at first sight with a girl and wants to get her attention. It’s very upbeat, so I hope the listeners will dance to it and find the song relatable,” De Leon explained.
Composed by Natasha L. Correos, mixed by Andrea Rae N. Culla, and produced by Rocky S. Gacho under GMA Playlist, “Window” is now available for streaming on all major digital music platforms worldwide.
“We had a blast writing this song. The GMA Playlist team came up with most of the lyrics, and then they brought the song to me. We made a few tweaks to the melody and lyrics, and everyone loved the final result. With this song, I hope to inspire listeners to take a chance on someone they like, to at least open up to them and let them into their lives,” De Leon concluded.
