Something amusing happened at the Maddox Jewelry showroom when award-winning actress Rita Avila finally managed to successfully book a slot after three attempts!
Rita visited the Maddox Jewelry showroom located at 1011 JP Rizal Street, Concepcion Uno, Marikina City, where she personally met the Founder and President, Ms. Charo Cordial.
Rita admitted that she is actually one of the avid viewers of Ms. Charo’s online live selling. Ms. Charo explained why it seems difficult to book a slot in their booking system!
“Sa www.maddoxappointment.com, hanggang 300 customers lang ang kaya naming i-accommodate sa isang araw,”
explained the so-called Queen of Diamonds. But previously, she said, they could only accommodate about 50 customers per day.
Rita happily shared, “Pinapanood ko lang, nandito na ‘ko!”
But Ms. Charo quickly countered, “Parang baligtad po, Ma’am. Ako po ang dapat magsabi sa inyo na pinapanood lang kita dati, ngayon, nandito na kayo sa harap ko!”
And then—both of them admitted that they were starstruck with each other!
Ms. Charo also didn’t miss the chance to ask about Rita’s unusual interest—her love for dolls!
She directly asked: “Totoo bang may buhay ang mga dolls?”
Rita simply smiled and clarified, “Hindi, hindi naman. Wala. Sa totoo lang, mas wild ang imagination ng iba. May kuna, oo meron, pero toy lang—at saka ‘yung dede, toy lang din.”
Rita also shared that as an actress and director together with her husband FM Reyes, having a vivid imagination comes naturally to them—but it remains just playful and nothing more.
Ms. Charo could relate, sharing her own story about her teddy bear from childhood that is still with her until now—and continues to stay in their home even after they’ve moved several times!
Rita also didn’t hold back in sharing her colorful experiences in showbiz—from her daring roles before to emotional scenes that once made her cry because of a director.
