SANTÉ celebrates 17 years in business, unveils skincare line, and hints on Big names as 2025 brand ambassadors
Santé Barley, a leading provider of barley-based products, recently celebrated its 17th anniversary with a grand Thanksgiving Ball at the Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Quezon City. The event, themed “SANTÉ Opulence Thanksgiving Ball: A Night of Abundance, Beauty, and Grace,” brought together business owners, distributors, and members of the Board of Directors for an evening of gratitude and celebration.
Sought-after radio DJ and events host Sam YG entertained the crowd with his funny quips and animated hosting
Gratitude: A Way of Life
The evening began with heartfelt remarks from Santé Co-founder and Chief Finance Officer, Eric Maranan, who emphasized the importance of gratitude in all aspects of life. “Gratitude is not just an attitude,” Maranan shared, “It is a way of life.” He encouraged attendees to appreciate the everyday blessings and acknowledge the many elements that contribute to a fulfilling life.
This sentiment was echoed by Santé CEO Joey Marcelo, who shared a personal secret to success: gratitude. “People have been asking me, ‘Joey, what is a secret you can share with people?’ and I said, ‘Simple lang, eh. For us to experience great things in life, we need to be grateful. We have to be grateful for all the things that are happening to us.'”
Marcelo acknowledged the inevitable challenges in business but stressed the importance of maintaining a grateful spirit. “At the end of the day, we always have to be grateful. We always have to be thankful that we’re here, celebrating. It will not only be a process. Tomorrow, there might be challenges. But at the end of the day, we need to have that spirit of gratefulness,” he added.

Embracing Competitors and Challenges
In a truly inspiring moment, Marcelo expressed gratitude for Santé’s competitors. “I’m very thankful for our competitors. I don’t hate them, I love them. Why? Because they’re marketing barley to others. They’re building their market of barley users. Why am I thankful? Because we have the same passion to build this wonderful product all over the globe. I’m thankful because I know, kakampi ko sila.“
He extended this gratitude even further, encompassing those who had posed challenges in the past. “Partners and friends, how do you feel about competitors? How do you feel about people who wronged you in the past? I’m also very much grateful to those people na galit sa akin. Na inaway ako, siniraan ako. Why? Because if not for them, I would not become a better person right now.”
Marcelo highlighted the transformative power of gratitude, drawing from a podcast that linked gratefulness to longevity. He posed a series of thought-provoking questions to the audience: “Ask yourself this question. Do you have that spirit of gratefulness in your hearts? Do you want to boost your income system? Be grateful. Do you want to change the way you think? Be grateful. Do you want to have that attitude of prosperity? Or do you want to be prosperous in life? Be grateful.“
He concluded his message with a powerful reminder and a hopeful promise: “Partners, business owners, find ways for you to be very grateful. Great things are just around the corner.“
A Glimpse into the Future
Marcelo hinted at exciting developments in store for Santé, including the upcoming introduction of two major celebrities, joining forces, as brand ambassadors in 2025. This announcement was met with enthusiasm, especially as one of the stars considers this partnership an answered prayer.
