Before she was dressing red carpets and commanding style sets, Star Magic artist Belle Mariano was a little girl lost in the world of paper dolls and Barbie outfits — already crafting looks long before the world called her a Gen Z fashion muse. Today, that same imaginative flair takes center stage in her second capsule collaboration with global fashion brand SHEIN — a vibrant collection that celebrates personality, playfulness, and the power of dressing up.
“When we hear the word summer, the first thing we think of is colors, vibrant ones,” Belle shared during the collection’s launch at Ayala Malls Market! Market! “So I think this is the best season for us to explore different hues, different shades, different textures. For me, it’s very light and comforting.”
Released on May 21 through the SHEIN app and website, the SHEIN x Belle Mariano line features over 150 curated pieces: 80 clothing items, 30 bags, and 40 shoes — all personally selected by Belle herself. The collection is anchored on three unique style sets: Luxe Glam for high-shine moments, Power Dressing for chic casuals and elevated events, and Playful Chic for carefree, feminine days. Each set speaks to Belle’s own multifaceted taste.
“This is my second collection and now that it’s summer, the colors have become even more vibrant,” she explained. “My sense of fashion really depends on my mood, and this is me now. I think that’s what makes it different this time around — and it’s nice because I get to express myself through this collection.”
A standout theme of the new capsule is how Belle approaches fashion as an evolving form of self-expression. “I think I got into fashion when I was a kid. I was really girly growing up. I loved dressing up and styling. I even had paper dolls and Barbies that I used to dress up,” she recalled.
She credits her stylist, Adrianne Concepcion, for nurturing that instinct and encouraging her to be bold. “She inspired me to dress better, to put myself out there and not be afraid to dress the way I want to. Fashion is also a form of self-expression for me,” Belle shared.
The collection also captures a shift in her confidence. “Now I’m not afraid to explore colors anymore because color analysis is such a trend these days. I’m more confident now. I want to give people more options.”
And for Belle, dressing up has always been about more than just looking good — it’s about blooming. “This collection also reminds me of flowers. It’s so light, colorful, and vibrant — and I think that’s my state of mind now — it’s really vibrant. Hopefully, with this collection, I get to inspire people to bloom and to dress up as vibrantly as they want and to be confident with what they’re wearing.”
Unlike her first collection that leaned into flirtier, ruffled looks, this second drop leans “more laid-back, more on-the-go — but still put together,” she said. The pieces were created for real life: quick errands, spontaneous trips, and everything in between — without sacrificing polish or personal style.
Belle’s partnership with SHEIN feels especially meaningful because she was a fan first. “I love Shein. Honestly, before they got me, I already used Shein all the time — especially during the pandemic. They’re very supportive when it comes to curating these outfits. And it’s so nice because with their variety of clothes and shoes, I get to play around with my own styles.”
The launch event brought the collection to life through engaging activities such as a Style Studio session with Metro Magazine’s Geolette Esguerra, a fashion-themed Mystery Box challenge, and an audience-participation Fashion Roulette. Kicking off the event was a dance number by ATEAM, followed by a heartfelt message from Belle: “Style isn’t one-size-fits-all — that’s why this collection celebrates every side of you.”
SHEIN x Belle Mariano runs from May 21 until May 27 at the pop-up in Ayala Malls Market! Market!, with the full collection also available via the SHEIN app and website. Fans are encouraged to mix, match, and make each look their own — just like Belle has been doing since the days of her paper dolls.
