Singer-songrwriter Tiana Kocher carves her own musical path
Coming from a showbiz and political family, Tiana Kocher, an up-and-coming Filipina singer and songwriter, is making a name for herself. The talented artist was recently reintroduced to the media at Delimondo Café in Makati. Tiana’s music career with the release of her debut single “Just My Type (feat. Trinidad James).” The song, which blends elements of pop, R&B, and hip-hop, gained attention and acclaim from both critics and fans alike.
Born and raised in California, Tiana Kocher began singing and performing at a young age. She honed her skills through years of training and experience, and has worked with several well-known producers and songwriters in the music industry.
Tiana’s single U Tried It, released in October 2019, was produced by Grammy-nominated producer RoccStar.
Tiana has previously collaborated with several award winning recording artists including AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys, Citizen Queen, Bobby V, and Latin artist J. Alvarez.
A graduate of Full Sail University with a degree in Music Business, Tiana is showing a lot of promise in representing Filipino talent here and abroad. She also has an associate degree in Musical Theatre from the Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts.
In an interview, Tiana spoke about the inspiration behind “Just My Type,” explaining that the song is about embracing one’s own unique qualities and not conforming to societal expectations. She also discussed her creative process, noting that she likes to start with a melody or hook and build the song from there.
