As part of SM Supermalls’ commitment to being a catalyst for development, the shopping chain mounted its first-ever Sunstainable Fashion Runways in celebration of this year’s Earth Month last April 29, at Samsung Hall in SM Aura, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City.

This sustainability-inspired runway show event was poised to showcase and celebrate eco-friendly collections of three outstanding fashion designers inside and outside the Philippines, featuring the pieces from Heleyna Bridal by Janina Camille Saspa, Lost Lorelei by Lorelei Bookluck and Maison Ramiro by Ron Ramiro.

Aligned with the brand’s advocacy to sustainability and eco-friendliness, these fashion genuises  exercise authenticity in designs, products, production and business practices in their fashion labels.

Janina Camille Saspa, the style visionary behind the wedding atelier called Heleyna Bridal,  is one of the featured fashion designers. Heleyna Bridal is known for dreamy, ethereal wedding gowns and bridal entourage dresses with embroidered words — sometimes featuring the wedding vows of her couples, or even romantic lyrics from songs that are meaningful to her couple clientele.

Check out some of her pieces below.

Ron Ramiro is another fashion designer featured at the runway show event. Ron is a shoe designer and avant garde couturier who has been celebrated by the Manila fashion glitterati for his fierce, sky-high shoe platforms, edgy eveningwear and quirky bridal creations.

Another featured sustainable fashion designer is Lorelei Bookluck. She is the creative force behind global eco-friendly resortwear Lost Lorelei. The Australian-Filipina style visionary has been known for her edgy yet laidback designs created for the lifestyle of a globetrotter. She has studied eco-friendly business practices in fashion for five years to ensure integrity in maintaining sustainability from fabric sourcing to production process.
