Many of the country’s most well-known celebrities started their journey inside the house, including Kim Chiu, Robi Domingo, Melai Cantiveros, Joshua Garcia, Gerald Anderson, and Maris Racal. Each year, new housemates emerge, showcasing their personalities and talents to millions of viewers. This year, the season that everyone is talking about is the PBB Celebrity Collab Edition, which has brought a fresh wave of interest and excitement. Two of its recent evictees, Kira Balinger and Emilio Daez, have been warmly received by fans—some even affectionately calling them “Kirmilio.” Their stories of growth and ambition continue to inspire many.
The House Experience: Personal Growth and New Opportunities
Kira Balinger, dubbed the “Hopeful Belle ng Cavite,” recently joined Star Magic’s monthly get-together with their artists. Held on May 2, 2025, at Coffee Project, Wil Tower in Quezon City, the event became even more lively with her presence. She expressed how her time inside the PBB house shaped her journey: “Everything played out exactly how it was supposed to. It may have taken me longer than the others to open up, but I’m super proud of my experience. I’m happy with my journey inside the house, and I don’t think there’s anything I would like to redo.”
Kira also shared how the experience helped her become more confident: “Before going into PBB, sobrang introverted ko po. I had a very hard time socializing with people my age. Pero ngayon po na nag-PBB ako, na-survive ko ‘yon, and I know that I have good people as my friends…In other words, sobrang nag-improve po ‘yong social skills ko.” Her growth didn’t just end there; she is now eager to explore new roles and genres.
Emilio Daez, dubbed the “Mr. Bankable Achiever ng Pasig City,” reflected on how the house allowed him to discover more about himself: “Mas nakilala ko yung sarili ko. Kasi sa bahay ni Kuya, marami pong mga beses na nagre-reflect ka talaga mag-isa kasi wala kang cellphone, wala kang distractions…Kasi pagpasok ko ng bahay, one of my goals was to become a better actor. And how can I become a better actor? I have to understand myself first more. So, talagang dinadamdam ko talaga lahat ng nararamdaman ko, pinapansin ko, and I believe that’s one of the keys to become an actor. You have to understand yourself first, feel everything, and hopefully it will translate on screen.”
He added, “Ang hirap maniwala na parang ang warm ng reception ng mga tao sa inyo…It really just makes me want to be a better person, work harder, and be the best that I can be para sa lahat ng mga sumusuporta.” His journey is now leading him toward more acting opportunities and larger roles, fueling his dreams step by step.
Future Plans
Kira, who previously appeared in shows and films like ‘Darna’, ‘Chances Are, You and I’, and ‘Maple Leaf Dreams’, is now setting her sights on exciting new roles. She shared her ambitions: “For the longest time po, I’ve always been doing the bida roles—the good girl roles, the rich girl—so I really want to try, kontrabida naman…’Yon, at saka ano… nahihiya ako sabihin—pero, Dyesebel. Dyesebel talaga. ‘Yon yung isa sa mga dream roles ko.”
Meanwhile, Emilio, who has already worked alongside big names like Piolo Pascual and Kyle Echarri in ‘Pamilya Sagrado,’ is fully embracing the opportunities that come his way. He expressed a clear goal: “Leading man talaga ang pangarap ko nung pumasok ako ng industriya—walang iba kundi maging leading man ng ABS-CBN. His dream is slowly becoming a reality as he is soon to be seen in the upcoming iWantTFC original series ‘Love At First Spike,’ playing the lead role.”
The two have also discussed working together. Emilio shared, “Napag-usapan din namin na you’re also into action [Kira]. You haven’t also tried it, so if we were given the chance, I think action would be amazing.”
Kira responded positively when asked about collaborating with Emilio on a second season of Bagani, where she hopes to step into the roles originally played by Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano: “Absolutely. Bagani, that was super iconic. To follow in their footsteps, that would be a huge honor.”
