When two powerful forces join, great things can happen. So much is expected now after successful businesswoman and go-getter Rhea Anicoche-Tan has been inducted as the new president of the Rotary Club of Balibago. Her leadership marks a new chapter for the club, promising an impactful period of community service and outreach.

A Night of Celebration and Purpose
Entertainment media and celebrity guests came to Pampanga all the way from Manila to witness the grand induction of Beautéderm CEO Rhea Anicoche-Tan as the new President of the Rotary Club of Balibago. The event, held on July 18, 2025, at the Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort, celebrated Anicoche-Tan formally taking on leadership as the club’s 16th president.

The evening was a star-studded affair, with overwhelming support from her Beautéderm family and a lineup of celebrity endorsers, including Alma Concepcion, Kakai Bautista, Kitkat Favia, Josh Ford, Kimson Tan, Jhai Ho, Ervic Vijandre, Anne Feo, Thia Thomalla, Jojo Abellana, Pepita Curtis, and Ejay Falcon. The biggest surprise was the attendance of the country’s Ultimate Heartthrob Piolo Pascual, who even serenaded the crowd and granted photo requests onstage from some members of the club. Anicoche-Tan’s family, including her mother Pacita Ramos Anicoche, son Adam Kenneth Tan, and daughter Audrey Kirsten Tan, were also present to show their support.

A Commitment to Community
Anicoche-Tan’s induction event also highlighted her deep commitment to helping others. Just recently, she and her team extended kindness to young students at Sto. Domingo Integrated School through ‘Handog ng D3790 sa Kabataan,’ a district-wide Rotary outreach. This event, which focused on Grade 3 students, reinforced her dedication to youth empowerment through education and mental health awareness.

Rhea’s journey from radio DJ to beauty mogul is a compelling story of hard work and compassion. A Mass Communication graduate from St. Louis University in Baguio, she began selling beauty products in the early days of Friendster and Multiply, balancing multiple jobs while building her dream. With only ₱3,500 as capital, she launched Beautéderm in 2009 and grew it into a major company with over 100 stores nationwide and abroad.
Projects for a Brighter Future
In her speech, Anicoche-Tan laid out the upcoming projects for the Rotary Club of Balibago, focusing on significant community-uplifting efforts.

“The first is the ‘Rise Up, Glow Up’ project, which, in collaboration with Beautéderm, aims to help students attain their full potential by improving their confidence through self-care. As part of it, we will educate students and universities on how to maintain their overall wellness, resulting in glowing success stories. We believe in them. They represent the future of a healthy, confident community that prioritizes more than what we see.”
“The second is the ‘Yes to Love’ project, a major anti-polio program that the club has been working on for years. The Beautéderm Corporation gladly announces that 5 pesos from every single receipt purchase will be contributed to the Rotary End Polio Campaign. This will demonstrate that, as a club, we place a high importance on efforts to address health concerns.”
“The third step is to expand ‘Contribeaut,’ a foundation I established years ago to provide financial assistance to students. Contribeaut, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Balibago, will add more students to our list of beneficiaries. Growing up, I was taught to embrace education as a means of transforming the impossible into the attainable. The club believes in empowering students by meeting their financial requirements, and in doing so, we contribute to a more educated and well-equipped community. To date we have 50 college scholars in Ilocos Sur, this is in UNP where I finished my secondary education. And to all the employees of Beautéderm, we provide scholarship assistance, maximum of 3 kids per employee or sibling.”

She emphasized the selfless nature of these initiatives, stating, “These three projects advocate for others rather than ourselves, as does this club, which has prioritized others over itself. It’s not about what we say, but how we make them feel. The attention is on the community, and their stories have moved, shaped, and touched our core.”
Accepting the Challenge
Anicoche-Tan shared her gratitude and commitment: “So, tonight, please allow me to officially accept my responsibility as president of the Rotary Club of Balibago in front of everyone who has inspired, influenced, and affected me. Please know that I am appreciative, humbled and honored for this.”

She also highlighted the responsibility that comes with influence: “While we are proud of our position, we must use our privilege, voice, and success to benefit others.”

In a powerful call for inclusivity, she added, “When you’re granted a seat at the table, let others sit beside you. Advocate for and beside them. Don’t leave anyone out; everyone belongs to everyone.”

Closing her address, she expressed her thanks and outlined the club’s core principles: “To everyone in the Rotary Club of Balibago, thank you for your trust. In our quest to be the best organization, we must never lose sight of what truly matters: uplifting others, seeing them for who they are, connecting with them, giving them a voice, and motivating the next generation of advocates to UNITE FOR GOOD.”
