Sixteen years in the industry is no small feat, and for Jillian Ward, it marks a journey shaped by growth, trust, and lasting partnerships. A bond built on love, sacrifices, and gratitude, Star of the New Gen Jillian Ward strengthens her career by renewing her ties with Sparkle GMA Artist Center, celebrating 16 fruitful years in the industry during her contract renewal held on March 10.
Present at the event were GMA Network Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and President and CEO of GMA Pictures Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, First Vice President of Sparkle GMA Artist Center Joy Marcelo, and Assistant Vice President for Talent Management Vic Del Rosario.
Also in attendance were Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s Senior Assistant Vice President for Talent Sales, Branding, and Marketing Anne Puno-Ignacio, Assistant Vice President for Talent Development and Recruitment Jenny Donato, Assistant Vice President for Sales and Marketing Renze Banawa, Consulting Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Lawrence Tan, and Senior Talent Manager Tracy Garcia. Joining them were Assistant Vice President for Corporate Communications Jojo Aquio and GMA Entertainment Group’s Assistant Vice President for Drama Ali Nokom-Dedicatoria, Senior Program Manager Edlyn Tallada, and Executive Producer Erwin Hilado.
From the very beginning, Jillian was destined to shine—a star who has grown before the eyes of Filipino viewers, evolving from a promising young talent into one of her generation’s most compelling and versatile actresses.
Gozon-Valdes shared how Jillian has become like family to the Network and expressed confidence in her bright future ahead: “We’ve seen you grow as an artist and as a person. Sobrang galing ng evolution mo. You can reinvent yourself, and you’re always the star.”
Marcelo added, “We are so blessed that you share your talents with us. We will continue to take care of you for more years to come.”
Jillian, in turn, expressed her gratitude for the Network that has supported her every step of the way: “I am so happy kasi sa GMA po, they don’t value their artists because they are artists, they value their artists as people.”
Known for her depth, intensity, and authenticity, Jillian has built an impressive body of work through the years—from Trudis Liit to the long-running afternoon drama Abot-Kamay na Pangarap, where she brought Dra. Analyn to life. She has also taken on meaningful roles in My Ilonggo Girl and delivered a standout performance in KMJS’ Gabi Ng Lagim: The Movie. Today, she continues to prove her range in the action-drama Never Say Die on GMA Prime.
Beyond acting, Jillian is also admired for her stage presence and vocal talent. This year, she reaches another milestone as she releases her newest single—adding music to her growing list of achievements.
