“Get, get, aw!” The iconic call of the Sexbomb Dancers resonates through the years, embodying the energy and determination of these performers. And boy, are the Sexbomb dancers go-getters!
Success seems to be inherently woven into their journey, particularly evident in many of their members who have ventured into different field. Take for example, former Sexbomb Dancer Sugar Mercado. Starting as a part of the legendary Sexbomb Dancers on the Philippines’ longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga, Sugar has transformed into a talented host and now a beauty queen. She is the reigning Mrs. Universe Philippines 2025. On November 27, she announced another significant milestone by becoming a new shareholder of Asia’s Lashes.
During the contract signing, Ms. Leah Urbani, the owner of Asia’s Lashes, expressed her admiration for Sugar and chose her as one of the ambassadors of her business. “I’ve known her since 2020, she’s like you know a vibrant soul, napakasaya napakaligaya ng awra niya, she’s one of the positive souls that I’ve ever met. That’s why I’m grateful that I’ve chosen her as one of the ambassadors of Asia’s Lashes because she is one of the most generous people I’ve ever met.” Sugar expressed her gratitude, saying, “I’m so thankful talaga kay Lord na binibigyan ako ng mga kagaya nila na tao na andyan para po sa akin.”
Leah also shared how proud she is of Sugar in her message, officially welcoming her to Asia’s Lashes. “I’m very proud of your success and lahat ng milestone na narating mo, I’m here not only as a ‘mother’, I will be the ultimate guidance in business para hindi ka na nabubulol. Para kumbaga it will be like an infinite success for everybody so I will be here to guide you and protect you in all business aspects.”
Wilbert Tolentino, Sugar’s manager, was present during the contract signing and expressed his unwavering support for the collaboration between Sugar Mercado and Ms. Leah Urbani. “Ako personally kahit wala ako sa contract, I will be the one na magwi-witness dito kasi ako mismo tutulong at palakihin natin ang Asia’s Lashes at yung Nail Lounge by Asia’s, 52 branches palakihin po natin sa tulong po ni Madam Leah at of course ang ating new brand ambassador Sugar Mercado.”
As the event came to a close, Sugar finished with a motivating message, reminding everyone of resilience, courage, and the power of self-belief. “Para sa lahat, babae o lalaki basta pag nadapa kayo, pwede kayo bumangon, kapag nagkamali, pwede itama lahat ng mali ibig sabihin habang nabubuhay tayo may pag-asa. Wala sa edad, wala sa gender, so sumubok ka lang ng sumubok, dahil in the end ikaw pa rin ang mag aangat sa sarili mo at magbabago ng mga mali mo,” Sugar said.
As she embarks on this new journey with Asia’s Lashes, Sugar’s experiences as a performer, host, beauty queen, and now a shareholder stand as proof to resilience and fresh beginnings.
