Long-running Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime, despite the challenges brought about by the network shutdown, proved once more that it continues to be a game-changer and trendsetter when it comes to entertainment. The recently launched pageant for moms with a twist, ReINA ng Tahanan, became an instant hit among viewers. In fact, it is now the show’s main segment. One of the brains and concept pushers behind the hit portion is the unkabogable Phenomenal Star Vice Ganda.

As previously featured here on Random Republika, Vice Ganda wanted moms to get the royal treatment they truly deserve in the midst of a pandemic. READ MORE HERE: https://randomrepublika.com/vice-ganda-opens-up-on-why-he-pushed-for-reina-ng-tahanan/

The well-loved host shared how he and the team are all pumped up and inspired to outdo themselves everyday in terms of creative output. Vice said, “We are inspired to na lalong pagandahin ang segment. Inspired kami kasi maganda talaga ang kinalabasan ang segment.”

Vice also shared how the segment’s sudden success gave him inspiration, “Ang sarap mag-work araw-araw knowing na madami kaming napapasaya at nabibigyan namin ng outlet ang napakadaming mga Nanay na i-express ang sarili nila at i-showcase ang mga talents nila.”

Learnings also abound in his journey with the team to make the most out of the portion. He added, “Marami akong naututunan.

One of the strengths of this show’s segment is Vice Ganda’s genuine interest when interviewing the ReiNanays and their guests.

He later enumerated the simple yet valuable learnings he picked up from the experience:

We cannot stereotype nanays. Madaming hugis, madaming kuwento, madaming kinds.”

To sum it all up, Vice believes the success of the segment lies in how it cuts across all markets. He said, “Across the board ang market ng ‘ReINA ng Tahanan’ dahil talagang family oriented ito.” He acknowledged how all kinds of moms see themselves in the segment and finds what they see relatable. “Regardless economic class, regardless of background, motherhood is universal,” he ended.
