Sunday nights used to quiet the Monday blues! Families and friends gathered around their TVs, winding down the weekend with laughter as Vice Ganda’s Gandang Gabi Vice turned the dread of a new workweek into a shared, joke-filled reset. The show didn’t just deliver comedy but it set the morning-after conversation nationwide and across Filipino communities around the world (I remember watching via The Filipino Channel or TFC for a time!). Headlines and Twitter trends the next day often traced back to moments from GGV — celebrity guestings that launched stars into trending lists, and even politicians whose memorable appearances stuck in public recall.

According to a report by Ganiel Krishnan on ABS-CBN News, comedy superstar Vice Ganda has stoked fan excitement after teasing that his late-night talk show Gandang Gabi Vice — popularly known as GGV — is set to return to television. Vice made the revelation while appearing as the celebrity guest at Inkblots, a campus journalism fellowship hosted by The Varsitarian, the official student publication of the University of Santo Tomas. Though brief, his remark sent fans and netizens into full speculation mode. “Ay abangan niyo, kasi magbabalik na’ng ‘GGV,’” Vice told the audience, drawing cheers from attendees and quickly igniting buzz online.
Yours truly has a personal memorable experience: I was one of the four people (including Sarah Geronimo) pranked by John Lloyd Cruz for Gandang Gabi Vice.
