For more than a decade, few faces have been as inseparable from ABS-CBN as Vice Ganda’s. The Unkabogable Superstar has started trends, broken records, set new ones, carried noontime television through its most-watched hours, and turned every project into a main event. Through everything the network has weathered, he has stayed. He was visible, vocal, and unmoved.
Based on TV Patrol correspondent Anna Cerezo’s report, that constancy and consistency took on a formal route again on Friday, when Vice Ganda signed a new contract with ABS-CBN. Vice reaffirmed his commitment to remain a Kapamilya for the nth time. Joining him at the signing were ABS-CBN Chairman Mark Lopez, President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, Chief Operating Officer Cory Vidanes, and Chief Financial Officer Ricardo B. Tan Jr. ABS-CBN Foundation Chair Eugenio Lopez III also stopped by to congratulate Vice and show his support for the Kapamilya artist.

The “It’s Showtime” host said he is honored by the company’s continued trust in him to lead content across its growing platforms. He shared, “I’m very, very happy. Actually, kahit wala namang contract, habambuhay naman akong Kapamilya pero syempre isang malaking honor and privilege matawag na Kapamilya.”
It is a telling line. Vice Ganda has long been known in the industry as a loyal friend, the kind who defends his circle publicly and shows up for people when it is least convenient. Friday’s signing suggested he is just as loyal an employee. By his own account, the paperwork simply confirms something that was never in question.
“So, patuloy pa rin akong gagawa ng mga proyekto sa Kapamilya under ABS [-CBN]. ’Yung ABS naman, sila na ‘yung pinakamalaking supplier ng pinakamalalaking contents sa iba-ibang platforms. Masaya ako na isa pa rin ako sa pinipili nila na magdala ng pangalan nila at gumawa ng mga contents nila na maipapalabas sa iba’t ibang platforms,” he said.
According to Vice, wherever his work lands, he said, the network comes with him. “Kung saan mang platform ako makita, hindi puwedeng hindi kasama ang ABS. Sa lahat ng projects ko sa iba’t ibang platforms, kasama ko ’yung ABS,” he emphasized.
Vice Ganda currently hosts “It’s Showtime” and “Everybody, Sing.” Among his upcoming projects is the Metro Manila Film Festival entry “The Greatest Showdown.”
