Vice Ganda teams up with Lingkod Kapamilya and extends help to 1,000 families in Surigao del Norte
The team behind Vice Ganda’s Facebook page shared the phenomenal host and actor’s recent outreach efforts for the victims of super typhoon Odette in Surigao del Norte. Some cities in the CARAGA region and nearby areas were badly hit by the natural calamity last December and thousands of people are begging for help.
While Vice Ganda has previously extended help to the victims of Odette through Lingkod Kapamilya’s Tulong sa Pag-Ahon program, Vice sent his assistance again when a video from a Surigao resident reached him. In the said video posted by ABS-CBN News reporter Anjo Bagaoisan, resident Gesille Berondo directly appealed for help from Vice on behalf of her neighbors.
Vice immediately responded. Through coordinating with Lingkod Kapamilya, he was send relief goods enough to help 1,000 families in Brgy. Sabang, Surigao City, Surigao del Norte. Through videos sent by the grateful recipients, it can be seen how the help went beyond the tangible needs. Vice uplifted their spirits.
