Since day 1 of the nationwide battle against the COVID-19 or coronavirus, memes and artcards have broken the internet. One that caught a lot of avid K-drama viewers’ attention and instantly went viral is a call to check out a specific scene in 2018 Korean series, My Secret Terrius, locally known as Codename: Terrius. The scene had a medical professional and one of the female characters discussing the existence of coronavirus and the absence of any known cure for those infected by it.

Netizens have been abuzz on social media (particularly Twitter) as the virus that is currently causing a worldwide pandemic was described in detail the way we know it now. The goosebumps-inducing part is how coronavirus was tagged in the story as man-made and a possible weapon for a terroristic attack. In case you missed it, the now controversial scene is on Episode 10 of the Korean version available on video streaming app Netflix.

The Tagalog-dubbed version with local title Codename: Terrius debuted on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida block last September 30, 2019. The show was topbilled by veteran actor So Ji Sub. He was the legendary black ops agent operative of the National Intelligence Service codenamed Agent Terrius. The show registered 9.9% in its pilot ratings according to Kantar Media.
