VIVA artists Janine, Katrina, Sam, and Daryl come in full force for ‘Four Hearts’ digital concert
“What makes the show interesting is that we all have our differences. It gives a different kind of balance. It’s not just a concert of songs, ” Sam Concepcion gave us a glimpse of what to expect from his upcoming concert with fellow Viva artists Janine Teñoso, Daryl Ong, and Katrina Velarde during the Four Hearts digital concert mediacon. He also said, “That’s we’re here for — connection. Family and relationships. We use music as a vehicle to express and drive the conversation. It’s an interesting mix of personal experiences and music.”
This coming August 28, Viva Live presents “Four Hearts” — a digital concert set to feature four of the most talented music artists in the Pinoy pop music scene today.
For the first time Sam Concepcion, Janine Teñoso, Katrina Velarde, and Daryl Ong will be together in one concert. And not just any show, “FOUR HEARTS” is a digitally streamed event to keep up with the pandemic times.
What with Covid-19 still raging and observance of safety protocols very much the norm, the concert is a measured and disciplined reaction to social distancing and at the same time, a continuation of Viva Live’s commitment to entertain the Pinoy audience. Which is very much at the heart of why Viva Live continues to produce digitally streamed concerts.
Recall that so far, during this more-than-a-year-long pandemic, Viva Live has produced the Sarah Geronimo “TALA” digital concert and the “Rico Blanco Songbook: Musical Stories by Rico Blanco” streaming special.
“This Four Hearts, it’s unexpected for me. The idea of this show, it’s all about love. Paano nagagawa ng tao magmahal ngayon despite the pandemic,” Katrina shared.
“We’ll talk about how it is to date online in the pandemic,” Janine added.
In “FOUR HEARTS”, Viva Live is further expanding the possibilities of what a “digital concert” can be. Foremost of which, is gathering four lead acts, each capable to headline a show of their own, but are now collaborating to deliver what promises to be a dynamite show.
All four, pop stars in their own right, have shared history. Katrina Velarde and Daryl Ong are long time friends. Both are known to hang out together outside of work. Daryl was actually present when Katrina tied the knot early this year. Velarde and Ong also recorded and released a song last year titled “Love Me Now.” Janine Teñoso and Sam Concepcion have likewise recorded music together. In fact, Sam Concepcion is recently featured in Janine’s EP on a duet called “Umibig Muli.” Concepcion returned the favor of singing on Janine’s song after Teñoso sang one of the theme songs on a movie Sam starred in (“Indak”).
That fact makes this concert a show among friends and it would be interesting how their rapport would translate and enhance their performances.
Directed by Paolo Valenciano, the “FOUR HEARTS” digital concert is scheduled on August 28, 2021 at 8pm. The platform in which it can be viewed is on KTX for Philippine audiences and on the IWANTFC and TFC IPTV platforms for audiences on other territories. Ticket prices are Php 999 for KTX or USD 19.99 for IWANTTFC and TFC IPTV.
