WATCH: Maine Mendoza Auctions Off Her Top Used at the PANAF Youth Congress; Gets Sold at Php12,500 for Charity
Fans went wild as bidding for Maine Mendoza‘s used top went higher than expected last Friday at the GMA Kapuso Celebrity Ukay-Ukay (Noel Bazaar 2016, World Trade Center). Maine auctioned off the Zara Basic long-sleeved top she wore that morning as a keynote speaker at the PANAF Youth Congress. The crowd cheered when Maine revealed that the top is still unwashed (They seemed to want it even more!). Priced at Php2,295 at a local Zara branch for a brand new one, Maine’s pre-owned top was sold to a fan for Php12,500. Maine, herself, looked so surprised. In fact, halfway through the auction, the phenomenal star joked that she might include her pair of jeans if the bid reaches Php10,000. Little did she know, it will go higher. With Maine during the auction were Kapuso comedian Betong Sumaya and her AlDub loveteam partner Alden Richards. Alden also auctioned off his pair of Nike Airmax rubber shoes.
Proceeds from the celebrity auction will benefit the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
