Femme MNL, a 31-member all-gay dance group, earned the first Golden Buzzer of “Pilipinas Got Talent” Season 7. Hosts Melai Cantiveros and Robi Domingo were immediately impressed by their precise and powerful performance during the second episode last Sunday (March 30), sending them straight to the live semi-finals. Melai revealed their decision was made within the first five seconds due to the group’s amazing synchronization.

Judges Freddie “FMG” M. Garcia, Donny Pangilinan, Eugene Domingo, and Kathryn Bernardo were greatly amazed by the group. FMG described the performance as world-class, Donny and Kathryn praised the group’s artistry and passion, and Eugene applauded the group for raising the flag for the LGBT community.

In “Pilipinas Got Talent,” the Golden Buzzer is a special privilege given to the four judges and the hosts, allowing them to send an act straight to the live semifinals. Each judge and the hosts can only use it once throughout the auditions. Melai and Robi awarded their Golden Buzzer to Femme MNL. With this, a total of four acts remain that can receive direct passes from the four judges to the next stage of the competition.

Meanwhile, netizens praised “PGT” for giving the spotlight to an LGBT couple, who supported their daughter in performing with her group Bini Mini. Bini Mini Belle shared that she is joined by her “two loving fathers,” earning admiration from the judges and audience.

“I can’t believe we’re in an era where different kinds of parent dynamics are fully represented on national TV—no shame, no discrimination, just love and acceptance. There’s still a long way to go, but I’m so happy,” Facebook user John Ray Pugoy said.
