Xian, Sanya, Coleen, and Faye get into a dangerous game in suspense thriller ‘Playtime’
Playtime follows three women – vlogger Allyson (Sanya Lopez), bride-to-be Roni (Coleen Garcia), and Patricia (Faye Lorenzo), escaping an abusive relationship – who become entangled with the same man, the dangerous Lucas (Xian Lim).
This marks the first big screen project for both Sanya Lopez and Xian Lim, each pushing their boundaries for roles that promise to surprise audiences.
“We did things in this film we’ve never done before,” shared Sanya. “It’s a suspense thriller unlike anything you’ve seen. My character does things you wouldn’t expect.”
Xian underwent physical transformation and delved into the mindset of a psychopath to embody Lucas. “I bulked up, aiming for a physique that wouldn’t let the three girls get away,” he revealed.
Coleen Garcia, also starring, adds to the anticipation: “The characters are fascinating, and the plot is thrilling and suspenseful. You won’t be able to predict what happens next.”
Faye Lorenzo prepared both physically and mentally for her role as Patricia, working out and immersing herself in the character.
Director Mark A. Reyes V, who crafted the story and concept, returns to Viva for this project, bringing his extensive experience from television hits like “Encantadia” and films like “Voltes V: Legacy.”
“Playtime” promises a unique and thrilling experience. Come play along when it opens in cinemas tomorrow, June 12.
