Beauty, pride, and community converge at SM Beauty’s ‘So Much Pride’ 2024 event
In recent years, SM Beauty has made significant strides toward inclusivity, continuously celebrating diversity through various initiatives and events. They have created platforms that encourage self-expression and community engagement, welcoming individuals from all backgrounds. This commitment was vividly demonstrated at their annual Pride event, “So Much Pride,” held from June 25-30 at the SM Mall of Asia Main Atrium.
SM Beauty’s 2024 Pride event, “So Much Pride,” was held last week, June 26. The Atrium became a colorful showcase of beauty, self-expression, and community, underscoring SM Beauty’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
The culminating evening started with a breathtaking Pride Runway and Opening Performance by the House of Revlon, setting a high-energy tone that continued throughout the night. Emcee Baus Rufo ensured a welcoming atmosphere as a stellar lineup of performers graced the stage, each representing the power of individuality and self-love.
Highlights included Precious Paula’s celebration of beauty (presented by Nivea), Matilduh’s ode to self-expression (presented by Ready Set Glow), Taylor Sweep’s message of self-care and confidence (presented by Snail White), and Maybelline’s creative and colorful segment. Janio (presented by BNB) and Maria Cristina (presented by Dazzle Me) further emphasized the importance of authenticity and diversity, respectively.
A segment by the Love Yourself organization highlighted the importance of community support and self-acceptance, while Naia Black’s show-stopping performance brought the house down.
“So Much Pride” was a proof to SM Beauty’s dedication to building a community where everyone feels celebrated and empowered. By bringing together individuals from all walks of life, SM Beauty created an atmosphere of true celebration, honoring the vibrant and diverse LGBTQ+ community.
