Kiana V’s new single “Sweet Release” showcases evolving sound and personal growth
Kiana Valenciano, also known as Kiana V, is blazing her own trail in the music industry. Her latest dance single, “Sweet Release,” exemplifies her unique vocals and songwriting skills. Collaborating with songwriters Rosemarie Tan and Philippe dela Pena, this catchy track is sure to be a dance floor favorite. Kiana’s deeply personal songwriting shines through, and “Sweet Release” (dedicated to her best friend) is only a glimpse of what’s to come in 2024. In a recent interview at the launch of Kenzo’s spring-summer 2024 line in Greenbelt 3, Makati City, she revealed a shift towards a pop sound inspired by her father, Gary Valenciano, and a keen interest in writing more songs in Tagalog.

“Expressing myself in my native tongue is a moving and unique experience,” Kiana says. ” I’m so excited to share it!”
Her enthusiasm is infectious as she hints at an upcoming album, potentially dropping later this year or early next. Expect a showcase of her growth – in storytelling, sounds, and genre shifts – a testament to the past two years of creative development.
While her musical projects thrive, Kiana has also been busy on stage. She recently performed at the National Diversity Coalition’s 21st Annual Economic Development Conference at The Landmark in Mission Hills, California, drawing a sold-out crowd.
Most notably, she traveled back to the Philippines to join her father, Gary Valenciano, on stage for his Pure Energy: One Last Time concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. All proceeds will benefit the Shining Light Foundation, continuing the Valenciano family legacy of using music for positive impact. Kiana will once again share the spotlight with her father for an additional show on May 10.
