'Broken Hearts Trip' lead star Christian Bables appeals to viewers during premiere: 'This film deserves to be watched'

At the recently held premiere of Metro Manila Film Festival official entry Broken Hearts Trip, lead actor Christian Bables humbly admitted that he is aware of the reality that the movie is not considered by many as a frontrunner. He humbly asked his producer and director for permission to make this statement, “Ito pong mumunting pelikula namin, sa lahat naman po ng mga entries ng MMFF, aware po kami doon sa fact na parang kami ‘yung tinitingnan ng mga tao na medyo nasa bandang huli.” Christian actively asked the guests at the premiere screening to help spread the word that their movie “deserves to be watched.”

The storyline orbits around a reality show hosted by Bables himself. As one of the esteemed ‘Judgers,’ he partners with character actress, Tart Carlos, and the movie icon, Jaclyn Jose. Together, they guide the audience through the tumultuous lives of five LGBTQ individuals on the mend, portrayed by Teejay Marquez, Marvin Yap, Petite, Iyah Mina, and Andoy Ranay.

Enduring a series of heartbreaks and seemingly insurmountable challenges, these characters find solace in the picturesque landscapes of the Philippines, sponsored by a corporate agency. The catalyst for their journey is a reality competition where contestants vie for a million-peso cash prize. The catch? They must remain single at the end of their odyssey, forcing them to question whether the pursuit is for money or love.
