GMA’s Primetime Queen Marian Rivera has been the celebrity endorser of nail studio and body spa Nailandia for nine years. In a competitive industry like showbiz with new stars and social media influencers cropping up from everywhere, it is impressive how Nailandia owners have kept their trust on Marian for almost a decade now.
Nailandia owner Noreen Divina shared how she crossed paths with Marian, “Through a franchisee. Kasi bank manager siya ng BDO and then doon yung account ni Rams.” Ramel ‘Rams’ David is the Head of Artist Circle Talent Management and former manager of Marian (They remain to be friends until now!)
“So sabi niya kilala ko yung manager ni Marian, bakit hindi tayo mag-Marian Rivera, Ms. Noreen,’ the franchisee suggested, as Noreen shared.
“Sabi ko, ‘Naku baka hindi natin kayanin, ang mahal!’
“Sabi niya, ‘Hindi, basta kausapin mo lang si Rams.’
“Ayun, sa awa ng Diyos is nagkaayos naman kami and the rest is history,” Noreen shared how grateful she is for having sealed the deal and coming into a mutual agreement with Marian’s team.
Noreen admitted that with Marian’s endorsement, her and husband Juncynth Divina’s business venture began gaining popularity in 2014. “Napakabait ni Marian,” raved Noreen.
Asked what her first impression was of the actress, the proud entrepreneur said, “Ay napakabait! To think na nandun na siya sa stature na Marian Rivera, di ba? Napakabait. “Parang, ‘Totoo ba ‘to? Artista ba ‘to? Superstar ba ‘to?
“Parang ganun. Ambait-bait niya, napaka-down-to-earth.
“At nung na-meet ko siya may show siya sa GMA, yung Marian, ay naku, naka-tank top, dyusko ganyan lang yung waist, napakaliit, grabe!” Noreen’s fondness for her chosen and trusted brand ambassadress is undeniable.
Looking back, Marian in 2014 was hosting her self-titled musical variety show, Marian.
Noreen is thrilled that her relationship with Marian has gone beyond business. The two have developed a friendship.
“Actually yung relationship namin ni Marian, hindi na more on business.”
Noreen attests to the actress’ good nature offcam which she witnessed even more when the pandemic hit. She asked to keep Marian’s good deeds confidential.
“Basta ang masasabi ko, hindi na lang business ang relationship namin ni Marian, friendship na.
“Our business relationship has transcended into a strong and deep friendship,” Noreen happily said.
As an endorser, Noreen swore by the actress’ effectiveness. “Nakilala nang husto ang Nailandia dahil sa kanya, napaka-effective niyang endorser, wala akong masabi. And kasi naman di ba, sa mga fans pa lang niya, sobra, grabe!
‘Tapos napaka-perfect niyang role model; good wife, good mother, good daughter, good apo, good friend, ideal na celebrity, walang bisyo, malinis ang image.
“Complete package!,” she raved about Marian.
Last May 26, Noreen and Marian renewed their ties as the trusted endorser signed her renewal contract with Nailandia. Present in the meeting were Mike Tuviera of Triple A (All Access to Artists, Inc.) management who is handling Marian’s career and the husband-and-wife owners Noreen and Juncynth.
The owners said they no longer intend to look for another brand ambassador.
“Marian Rivera is Marian Rivera, siya lang sapat na, actually sobra pa! Napakalakas ng hatak niya sa tao,” Noreen gushed. She also added, “At siya mismo ang nagtatangkilik ng Nailandia, talagang pumupunta siya, dinadala niya yung mommy niya, yung lola niya.
“Nagpapa-spa party siya sa mga kaibigan niya. At may advocacy siya sa tungkol sa mga single mother, pina-spa party niya.”
As things are going great for both Marian and Nailandia, Noreen shared the good news. She announced, “Nailandia is coming up with something very big before the year ends, for the public! Something very exciting. “Because Nailandia is blessed with so much, so we are giving back to the people just the same.” The surprise will be revealed in no time.
