Undoubtedly one of the busiest (if not the busiest) stars today, GMA artist Alden Richards managed to squeeze in some time for charity as his post-birthday celebration. The Pambansang Bae turned 24 last January 2 and as his way of giving back for the surge of blessings he’s been getting, he personally visited the Aeta community in Sitio Gayaman, Bamban, Tarlac last February 8.
Alden personally chose the Aeta community to expose their plight within the isolated community and help create awareness for their situation and needs. Most of the homes have no electricity in the mountain peaks and they barely have enough food to sustain their living.

Touched by the surprise dance number from the Aetas, Alden gamely joined in the dancing!Can’t blame the girl selected to join Alden for an on-the-spot acting game if she turned speechless! 😉No newbie to charity, Alden has previously been involved in house builds, read-along sessions, and orphanage visits.By donating money from his personal funds and getting some help from sponsors, Alden was able to personally hand out gifts to the Aeta community.More than 350 families were recipients. Assisting Alden were his cousin April Penaranda, GMA Artist Center PR and Events Assistant Manager Rochelle Tuazon, and Senior Assistant Vice-President of Alternative Productions and Assigned Talent Management Head Gigi Santiago-Lara.Alden’s fans , known as the Aldenatics, were present in helping out distribute the goods. Members of the Land Rover Club of the Philippines were also present. The Gayaman Hope Sungnae Presbyterian church served as a warehouse for the donated goods.Aubrey Carampel of 24 Oras and Anina Feliciano of GMANetwork.com joined in the event.For someone who considers driving as relaxation, Alden personally drove the Land Rover Discovery Sport to get to the venue (that was a long drive!)The Land Rovers used to transport the goods and the people involved were provided by the Land Rover Club of the Philippines headed by Marc Soong.Alden left the venue at 9AM and had to ride a chopper to make it to Eat Bulaga!
