In a grand affair held at the Philippine Navy Officers’ Club in Taguig City on December 19, the World Beauty Organization (WBO) Top Model Philippines winner, Querubin Gonzales, was launched into the limelight. The event, led by Maharlike Productions President and CEO Faith C. Recto, was a celebration of beauty, advocacy, and aspirations, bringing together a group of talented and socially conscious women.

The Beauty Queens and Their Causes

The spotlight shone on not just Gonzales but also on other remarkable ladies who graced the event. Miss Mahalin Natin Ang Pilipinas Czar Burgos, 1st Runner-up Celina Francine Garcia, 2nd Runner-up Kheila Sarmiento, and 3rd Runner-up Hazel De Leon stood alongside Gonzales, each passionately advocating for various causes, including women empowerment and education. These beauty queens, with their crowns, carry a commitment to making a positive impact on society.

Aspiring to Enter the Entertainment Industry

Beyond their roles as beauty queens, these remarkable ladies are open to venturing into the entertainment industry. Eager to use their influence and platform, they expressed their willingness to explore opportunities that allow them to reach a broader audience and contribute to societal change through different mediums.

Faith C. Recto’s Vision

“Naisip ko kasi, during my younger years, I was a beauty queen and kayo girls, ngayon, suwerte kayo kasi wala nang height limit. Hindi ko narrating ‘yung Binibining Pilipinas kasi maliit ako. So, I told myself, darating ang panahon, bibilhin ko na lang ‘yung prangkisa para sa ‘kin na ‘yung beauty pageant. And with that, I want to expand and continue the advocacies that I have started. I want to use this platform to help and share love in my own simple way,” Maharlika Productions President and CEO Faith C. Recto, a former beauty queen herself, shared her vision during a quick Q&A session. She expressed her desire to utilize the pageant platform as a powerful venue for helping others. Recto’s commitment to using beauty competitions as a means of promoting social causes and empowerment adds a deeper dimension to the glitz and glamour associated with such events.

“Even without the franchise of Top Model Philippines, I’ve been doing a lot of charity works when it comes to IP (indigenous people) communities, children with cancer, and giving livelihood to women,” Recto shared. “One of my advocacies is women empowerment. Naniniwala ako na hindi mo kailangang nasa gobyerno o maging pulitiko para makatulong ka sa kapwa mo.”

Recto reminded the girls and left this important message, “Sana yung kasikatan, huwag dadalhin sa ulo. Keep your feet on the ground, always.” She emphasized the importance of humility in the long run and gave this reminder, “If you are humble, you will be able to share love. You will be able to forgive. Just be humble and stay beautiful.”

The December 19 event was graced by the presence of esteemed sponsors, including Cherry Mobile and Aficionado. Maharlika Productions employees and the event sponsors created an atmosphere akin to a family reunion, where members of the press were warmly welcomed. The sense of community extended beyond the pageant stage, creating an environment of collaboration and support.

Entertainment, Prizes, and Culinary Delights

The event was not just about glamour and advocacy; it was a holistic experience. Attendees were treated to a lively program featuring fun games, raffle prizes, and sumptuous food. The celebration went beyond the stage, fostering a sense of camaraderie and festivity among the guests.

Looking Ahead

As Maharlika Productions continues to carve its niche in the pageant industry, the event served as a testament to the organization’s commitment to providing meaningful experiences for pageant enthusiasts and aspiring candidates. With a blend of glamour, advocacy, and entertainment, the December 19 launch marks the beginning of a promising journey for WBO Top Model Philippines winner Querubin Gonzales and her fellow beauty queens, under the guidance of Faith C. Recto and Maharlika Productions.
