The cinema was filled with laughter and gushing. It has been years since we last saw a Korean movie that brought us a lot of belly-aching laughs and kilig. What’s even more special is that Love Reset has so much more than just entertainment. It will leave with serious food for thought about love and life. Midnight Runners star, Kang Ha-neul, and Playful Kiss star,Jung So-min, team up to make you fall in love, laugh out loud, and keep you invested on their story in “Love Reset”, a movie that provides a fresh and intriguing, never-before-seen take on the concept of “shared amnesia.”

A once happy and inseparable couple now can’t wait to get rid of each other. But while waiting for their divorce to be finalized in 30 days, they get into an accident that wipes away their memories.

Kang Ha-neul plays Jung-yeol, an overly confident lawyer who makes a bold statement like,”I was perfect until God threw this woman into my life,” referring to his wife, Nara.

Jung So-min plays Nara, a successful careerwoman and a perfectionist but slightly nutty wife. As a retort to her husband, Nara likens him to “a mosquito…Who knows why they exist?”

Tired of their consistent battles of clashing pride, Jung-yeol and Nara have been looking forward to their divorce. But now that they don’t remember anything about their troubled marriage, they start to look at each other just like the first time they met. As their families observe that they’re falling in love again, they are determined to help them regain their memory so they can end everything between them once and for all.

For three consecutive days after its October 3 playdate in South Korea, “Love Reset” maintained the top spot in the Korean box office.  This reunion movie of Kang Ha-neul and Jung So-min, who first worked together 8 years ago in another blockbuster movie “Twenty” (2015), proves that they have a great chemistry.

Jung So-min proudly said, “We didn’t even have to share words for our teamwork to form.”  Kang Ha-neul also praised his leading lady, saying, “We discovered a new comedic talent in her.”

Regarding their on-screen battles, director Nam Dae-joong said, “Objectively speaking, their neck-to-neck bloodbath is a must-see, and it’s difficult to determine who comes out on top,” adding to the anticipation of this petty vs crazy romantic comedy.  He guarantees that “this comedy will brighten up the rest of your day, and will cause a chuckle even when you lay to sleep.”

“Love Reset” is now showing in Philippine cinemas nationwide.
