Last Wednesday, millions of viewers worldwide witnessed the death of now one of the iconic villains on television, Joaquin Tuazon, portrayed by Arjo Atayde. For almost two years on air, “Joaquin” made life difficult for Cardo Dalisay (Coco Martin) and his family in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano on ABS-CBN’s primetime block. The end of his protagonism marks a major shift in the story. The hit primetime series is now on its Book 2.
Arjo was first known to many by being the son of seasoned actress Sylvia Sanchez and businessman Art Atayde. Eventually, he slowly made a name for himself in the business. He once shared how instrumental co-actor and FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano lead star Coco Martin is in getting this major break in showbiz. Coco kept his word from years ago that he wants to work with Arjo in a project. What seemed like a simple promise fulfilled turned out to be a turning point in Arjo’s career.
