1. Sarah… Ang Munting Prinsesa
Despite the cruel Lavinias and the unfair Miss Minchins in our lives, Princess Sarah taught us to always look at the bright side of life, to never give up, and to invest in dependable BFFs like Becky.
2. Ranma 1/2
It doesn’t matter if you are a boy or a girl, or somewhere in-between. What matters most is that you show to the world your inner strengths, your pure heart, and your true self.
3. Cedie: Ang Munting Prinsipe
Not even Cedie’s grumpy grandfather can stop this little boy from making the whole world a more liveable and happier place. Kindness can definitely overcome even the lonely, egoistic, and self-centered hearts.
4. Ghost Fighter
Sometimes when we least expect it, we are given challenges to test our courage and willingness to change. After all, life is an adventure.
5. Julio and Julia
Like any other partnerships/combos — Night and Day, Yin and Yang, Coffee and Tea, Salt and Pepper, Bea and John Lloyd — we all need a special friend whom we can always depend on. They can be our siblings, best friends, husbands/wives, or soul mates… we all need our best buds to stick with us through thick or thin.
6. Nello at Patrasche (A Dog of Flanders)
For some, life can be really tough. But as the famous line from a song goes, ‘what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.’ Although the main character in this animated series and his pet eventually died a tragic death towards the end of the story, we still salute both Nello and Patrasche’s undying loyalty and love for each other.
7. The Adventures of Peter Pan
While we all grow older, we tend to let go and forget the ‘inner child’ in each one of us (i.e. the innocence, the freedom, and the willingness to take risks). Peter Pan, Wendy and their friends all remind us to revive that old feeling again, to slow down a bit, and to just BE.
8. Remi: Nobody’s Girl
Life is a journey and we need our troupe — of monkeys, dogs, and friends — to travel with us in every step of the way. Sometimes, our friends/families make us all feel wonderful and help us to think lesser of the burdens/challenges ahead of us.
9. Voltes V
Some of life’s tasks will require the help of four or more other people. We need a team to back us up. And in these times of difficulties, we find strength not only from our own but also from others.
10. The Trapp Family Story
A stranger in a new land is not an easy feat. It takes time, patience, and effort in order for the others to build their confidence & trust on you. If you believe in yourself and your capabilities, no one else can stop you from achieving your goals.
