When I stepped into the room assigned for the media launch at the Manila House Private Club last night, I was so excited to find out what new product Bela Padilla is endorsing. Samples placed on the beautifully decorated tables served as the big reveal. Bela is the newest face of the highly popular Dear Face Beauty Milk.

While I didn’t know anyone from the brand, attending the event felt very much like a reunion. It hit close to home. That may sound dramatic but Dear Face is truly like a dear friend whose growth I have seen. It was in September last year when I purchased the strawberry and melon variants through a random Shopee store out of curiosity.

I saw a lot of intriguing and convincing rave reviews on short-form video platform TikTok posted by regular citizens swearing by the product’s effectiveness. With a lot of products cropping up online, I had to be careful and even checked the FDA verification portal to check the brand’s registration. True enough, as promoted, Dear Face is FDA-approved. Look, here’s a screenshot of the FDA registration:

It was a joy to see how many resellers and distributors Dear Face has been helping through the years. And it is empowering to know that the successful brand is led by female CEO Jonah Sison-Ramos. During her introduction to the guests last night, the registered nurse-slash-entrepreneur teased, “I’m really overwhelmed by the fast success of the brand. It’s a very big deal. Filipinos are now embracing beauty through drinking collagen or beauty supplements. Tonight, we’re going to launch our new face for Beauty Milk. Beauty Milk is our flagship product. She’s a great choice for the brand.” Just a few minutes after, Filipino-British actress Bela was formally introduced.

Dear Face CEO Jonah explained the choice of having Bela to represent her brand. She likened the actress’ versatility to her variants. Just like Bela who wears different hats (She’s an actress, endorser, entrepreneur, director, producer, and writer!), Dear Face Beauty Milk also does a lot of things for the body. Each flavor boasts of different benefits it can offer the consumer. Dear Face has the Beauty Bean premium Korean mocha coffee, Beauty Milk premium Japanese melon collagen drink, Beauty Milk premium Japanese strawberry glutathione drink, Beauty Milk premium Japanese lychee Swiss stemcell drink, and Beauty Milk premium Japanese banana probiotic + collagen drink. These variants taste nothing like traditional collagen brands in the market with a fishy flavor or smell. The Beauty Milk ones have been formulated to taste good with a natural sweetener and non-dairy creamer (making them safe for lactose-intolerant individuals).

“I’m so happy to be here. I’m part of a new family. I got to work with the core team the other day and sobrang good vibes ng set. The shoot was really easy, super fast, I feel really good,” Bela enthused. The actress, who is now based in the United Kingdom, constantly travels back to the Philippines for work. She gave us an update on what she’s currently busy with, “At the moment, I’m developing a new story, a new script with a good friend of mine, Adolf Alix, Jr. I’m also finishing a movie with JC [Santos]. May tinatapos kaming movie kaya I’m in the Philippines right now.”
