LOOK: Gary V set to perform his latest single in America’s National Day of Prayer event
As the second year of this COVID-19 pandemic intensifies with all that is happening, Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano blesses us with a brand new song aimed to inspire and encourage his millions of fans.
Watching the uncontrollable virus creeping into our homes and claiming lives of relatives, friends, and many frontliners and families of classmates and colleagues in the industry, Gary started writing a song in the summer of 2020. Titled “Make Us Whole Again,” the song perfectly captures the challenges this crisis brought us.
Gary V witnessed the numerous losses around him. He watched videos, listened to songs and podcasts, produced videos and participated in various online concerts and fundraisers that raised millions in funds for the various causes. The special video “Shout For Joy” produced by the Genesis team for his TV show received a special citation during an international meeting of one of the top 5 global social media platforms. It became one of the top 3 best lockdown music videos globally and hit the number three slot, after Taylor Swift and John Mayer.
He was able to reach the completion of the song at the same time his wife and his team members recovered from being COVID-19 positive.

Recently, Gary was able to perform the song on ASAP Natin ‘To where he stands as one of the pillar hosts/performers for 17 years now. This was in celebration of his 38th anniversary in showbiz and the performance generated so many positive responses from his fans. He also sang the song on another Kapamilya program, Your Face Sounds Familiar, where he functions as one of the three resident judges alongside Sharon Cuneta-Pangilinan and Ogie Alcasid. The studio turned quiet and brought tears to eyes as Gary sang the song.
This coming Friday, May 7, at 7:00 a.m. (Philippine Time), Gary is invited to participate in America’s National Day Of Prayer event that will stream live on Pray.com. He will offer prayers as well as inspiration through his music as he is set to perform “Make Us Whole Again” for the very first time before a live global audience.
