Si Ate Sarah po, gusto ko na rin po siya makasama. Siyempre ‘yung ibang artists na rin po. Tuwang-tuwa po ako na maging part ako ng Viva,” an excited and obviously grateful Lyca Gairanod shared her thoughts on finally being launched as a Viva Artists Agency talent. During her media conference, she was very vocal in saying that her The Voice Kids coach Sarah Geronimo had a huge influence on her decision to make this career move as they kept in touch through the years. In case you missed it, Lyca is the first champion of the international singing competition’s local franchise. She was under the tutelage of Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo, one of Viva’s top artists.

Lyca demonstrated exactly what kind of a singing powerhouse she was (then) when she aced her performances in The Voice Kids. And this she managed without formal training and was just on the brink of turning 10.

As everyone seems to still have that image of the young Lyca, the teen singer also revealed that she’s about to take things to the next level as she reintroduces herself to the audience.

Still young and brimming with potential at sixteen, Lyca will now be guided artistically by Viva Artists Agency. To date, the young singer has so far amassed over a million subscribers to her YouTube channel, and with the potential of growing it further with the creative assistance that Viva will provide.

Guidance for Lyca would also entail a refocusing of her singing career. Something that Viva Records will definitely have a big hand in. While her solo tracks will immediately be a priority, she is said to be preparing a special collaboration with another Viva recording artist.

While we can imagine a reunion of sorts with The Voice coach Sarah Geronimo, that will have to wait as Lyca Gairanod will take those raw powerful vocals of hers in a different setting. Lyca will record and collaborate with one of 2020’s biggest breakout bands in Bandang Lapis, the group behind the number one viral hit “Kabilang Buhay.” The yet untitled collaboration will be Lyca Gairanod’s kickoff project with Viva. Exciting times are definitely ahead for the young star.
