Vice Ganda reprises his funny talk show stint in ‘Gandang Gabi Doc’ segment at Urban Smiles’ anniversary party
The Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda was one of the biggest stars who attended the grand celebration of Dr. Ralph Delas Alas’ 36th birthday and 10th anniversary of his Urban Smiles Dental Clinic. In a sparkly getup, the It’s Showtime host and box-office comedian was every inch the superstar he is.
One of the highlights of the dinner party was the Gandang Gabi Doc, a sort-of remake of Vice Ganda’s now-defunct hit late-night talk show Gandang Gabi Vice, more popularly known as GGV. The portion was filled with laughter as expected but also brimming with inspiration as Vice allowed Dr. RFD to share his success journey as a dentist. The Urban Smiles owner is now the dentist to numerous TV and movie celebrities and social media personalities.
Vice, who trusts Dr. RFD with his dental needs, was very generous in giving the dentist the spotlight. “Kaya dumami ang mga kaibigan mo na nag-eendorse sa’yo kahit hindi mo naman sila hinihingan ng endorsersement, kasi you’re such a good soul!,” Vice complimented Dr. RFD. He emphasized how the celebrity dentist’ primary intention is to help others, and in return, he gets organic and genuine testimonials from famous clients. Generosity in friendship is something they share.
As a friend, Vice said, he takes pride in voluntarily endorsing the dental services. “Pride namin ‘yun pag sinasabi namin ‘yung, ‘Thank you so much, Doc RFD and Urban Smiles. Pride ko ‘yun ‘pag sinasabi ko sa TV. Hindi dahil I feel obliged, hindi dahil endorser ako, not for anything. Pride kong sinasabi ‘yung brand mo. Hindi dahil kinukuha mo kaming endorser.” Aww. Just as the atmosphere went heartwarming, Vice broke the seriousness with the question, “Na-touch ka? Gusto ko kasi talaga ma-touch ka ngayon eh.” And the superstar-endorser giggled.
Halfway through the segment, Vice gave an important tribute to Dr. RFD, “You have not just been saving teeth. You have been saving lives.”
