Vice Ganda turns emotional, reveals what we didn't know about Ion's marriage proposal

Aww! Last Saturday’s episode of “Everybody, Sing!” would make you want to hug Vice Ganda. Vice touched the hearts of the audience as she recounted their heartfelt engagement story she shares with life partner Ion Perez.

Following a conversation with a couple from the Songbayanan who were engaged, the Unkabogable Superstar reminisced about the overwhelming fear she experienced when Ion proposed to her for marriage.

“Naiinggit ako kasi hindi ganoon ‘yung naramdaman ko nung nag-propose sa ‘kin si Ion. Naiinis ako kasi hinayaan kong talunin ng takot ‘yung dapat saya kong naramdaman,” Vice confessed.

She turned emotional and added, “Sobrang dami ng sinasabi sa ‘min ni Ion, nanakawan ako ng joy, parang sa inyo, di ba? Ang sarap ng normal, kasi ang normal niyan sa paningin ng marami di ba? ‘Yung babae tsaka lalaki pero ‘yung sa ‘min hindi normal ‘yung tingin sa amin.” Vice shared her raw emotions, reflecting on the difference between the excitement and warmth given to engaged straight couples versus engaged couples from the LGBTQIA+ community.

Vice also disclosed that she requested their friends to delete any footage of the engagement due to concerns about potential backlash, particularly towards Ion. Nevertheless, they expressed that they have overcome those fears and now embrace a more open approach towards their relationship.

“‘Yung fear ko nu’n, wala na at ‘yung care ko nu’n sa ibang tao, wala na. Kasi all my care now, lahat ng care ko, na kay Ion na lang at sa nararamdaman namin,” Vice ended.
