Newest Dabarkad & Bida Next winner Carren Eistrup is all set for stardom
After weeks of grueling challenges in the acting, dancing, and singing categories, 14-year old Filipina-Danish Carren Eistrup from Cebu emerged the winner of Eat Bulaga!’s “Bida Next” competition. Aside from Php500,000 in cash and a brand new Next-Gen Ford Ranger vehicle as prizes, part of the package is her Php1 million-worth contract with Eat Bulaga! as an official Dabarkad. She is now part of the longest-running noontime show in the country and under Merlion Entertainment and APT Entertainment.
Doll-faced and always smiling, Carren is a ball of good vibes and positive energy. She truly has the makings of a potential star. Completing her artista package aside from charm and beauty is her singing talent. Back in 2018, the Bida Next champion also brought home numerous medals and plaques from the World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA). It’s amusing how the young singer is often likened to Hollywood’s Miley Cyrus.
Carren has been repeatedly tagged as the “Miley Cyrus of the Philippines” by her fans and supporters. “Noo sinasabi na kamukha ko raw si Miley Cyrus. I really appreciate it,” Carren said. While she appreciates the acknowledgment of their resemblance, it is Carren’s dream to be known for her own merits in the long run.
As of now, she’s enjoying her adjustment phase in the noontime show and having a grand time with her co-hosts. Asked how her relationship with other hosts like Maja Salvador and Maine Mendoza, Carren revealed asking them how they deal with losing privacy and being constantly approached in public. She found out where Maja gets to hangs out peacefully. She asked, “She said she goes to Rockwell. What’s Rockwell?” The innocence of the promising Cebuana teen is beyond adorable. No doubt, she will soon be frequenting Rockwell and so used to Manila’s go-to hangouts.
